Wanted to write this down for myself. Pre-heating and mixing stuff in the pot shortens overall bake time.
- Put a 3-4 quart pot on low/medium heat and melt/stir in:
- 1 cup of butter (2 sticks)
- 2 cups of sugar
- teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- (cut the heat so the next part doesn’t turn into fried eggs)
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of flour
Put in a buttered pan and bake ~20 min until it’s slightly jiggly in the center but mostly set on the edges. If you pull a clean chopstick or knife out of the center, then you overcooked it. It’s meant to set and get a fudge like consistency after you take it out. Don’t cut sugar from the recipe to try to make it more healthy.
